Ogolnoksztalcace im.Bohaterow Powstania Styczniowego w Malogoszczu

About

Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace im.Bohaterow Powstania Styczniowego in Malogoszcz is the name of a state secondary school (for students who are 15-19 years old). It is located in a small town in the Jedrzejow county. Since its opening in 1991 the school has acquired an important role in terms of education and has had a great influence on the city of Malogoszcz. There are about 150 students and 20 teachers. Our main purpose is to offer general education to our students and to properly orient them towards choosing their further educational path in high school or other forms of education. Liceum also offers a wide range of educational programmes. Liceum in Malogoszcz constantly promotes equality, diversity and multiculturalism. The school has a tradition for projects, both local and nationwide, and afternoon activities that have always been popular with our students. We give support both gifted students and those with specific learning difficulties. Our students live far from large cultural centres, many of them are affected by social exclusion and family disadvantages. So our school tries to provide them regular access to cultural offers. We allow the students to develop open-mindedness, curiosity and critical judgment. Liceum proposes our ideas not only to the school community but also to students from other schools in our area, as well as to the residents of our town, to the adults as well as the youngest. Finally our school has great interest in taking part in European cooperation activities, when comparing with different school systems, the members of this partnership will exchange their best experiences in order to find new ways to improve student motivation. We know the extra value that Erasmus projects can carry to all the school community. We believe that exchange experiences with other countries is the best way to promote the inclusion of students (foreigners or with fewer opportunity), the ones with lack of basic skills and to prevent the risk of dropping out, by helping to promote their integration into the mainstream education and society: • to use new strategies for overcoming social exclusion, lack of basic skills and the problem of early school leaving; • to create a stimulating learning environment and approaches for supporting child's social and emotional development. • to make different methods of education available for the teachers and share the good practices . to improve ICT skills and the use of mobile devices for teaching and learning. Our headmaster Krzysztof Dutkiewicz and English Teacher Barbara Jamorska will be the key people in charge of running the project in the school. Barbara Jamorska is an experienced teacher on Erasmus+ projects. Anna Nosal, our biology teacher has been the contact person of an Erasmus+KA229 project about environment and pollution in her former school. Educators from different fields work together with Biology and Science teachers to convey environmental values to our students.
