Program : Erasmus+

Name : Water as the treasure of future

Number : 2020-1-RO01-KA229-079917

Type : Exchange of Good Practices

Period : 1.09.2020 – 31.08.2023

The starting point of our project is the climate conference took place in Paris, which brings countries, people and non-governmental organizations together in order to create an environmental awareness in long-term water sustainability and climate with in cooperation with all participants. The aim of the conference was to take direct initiative to ensure a healthy environment, focusing on the issues of water and climate change. This project that we plan to carry out, we will ensure that all the individuals of the participating countries share their ideas and create a sustainable approach on environmental and water awareness together. The goal of the United Nations number 6 will be a goal where we will achieve significant outputs with our project activities. We will set a standard for this common goal and develop a high level of awareness among our partnership group through educational activities. We aim to prove how schools and local communities from Europe's East-West axis can take the initiative to promote the goal.

Our aim is to ensure that our schools and local community and non-governmental organizations in Europe take action by understanding what kind of initiative they can take. As schools and teachers, we can never be insensitive to the problem of water shortage, which will obviously occur in the future, and to the endangered future of water. We should take serious measures to protect our valuable water resources for the next generations. The most effective way to achieve this is for our students to comprehend the function of water in terms of the strategy, vital and our health in our life. We plan to create a holistic and applied open teaching approach in this issue. With our project, we will reveal the importance of water in our world and especially how we support our life with our young people from different countries between the ages of 14-18 who came together for the same purpose. In this way, young people who will form the next generations will realize how important it is to develop, maintain and promote a responsible behavior regarding water consumption.

In this context, they will realize how vulnerable our water resources are, by seeing how rapidly our natural resources are decreasing, they will determine new strategies in cooperation to find a way for sustainable water management. Water, which is our source of life is managed and controlled by different countries, often crossing the border of a country through rivers or any water base. But even so, the importance of water requires awareness beyond the borders of any country or any political treaty. During this partnership, we aim to approach the issue of 'water', which is seen as a vital natural component for life, from different perspectives. In addition to this, while our students produce solutions to this problem internationally, they will be able to look from different perspectives for solutions that can be reached through international agreements and partnerships.

It is proved that educators and students coming together from different countries and cultures increase their motivation and achieve successful results. Our project will gain real and concrete experiences with scientific understanding, which will enable our students to gain both abstract and theoretical terms. The main objectives of our project are:

1-To increase teachers and students' ICT, language skills and awareness of European citizenship

2-Preparing the ground for a successful future career for the participants

3-Raising awareness at the level of students, teachers and NGOs for the sustainability of water, water resources

4-To understand the importance of right water management politics for next generations

5-Creating a training resource about “WATER”
